May 23, 2016 | Many older adults in Marin hope to age in place while remaining in their homes and communities. With 25 percent of residents in Marin aged 60+ and the cost of living one of the highest in the state, now more than ever, help is needed to address the challenges of aging in Marin.

“It’s a radical act to become an empowered elder in a culture in which for many of us ageism, denial, and our internalized self image often equates age with powerlessness.”

Today, the Marin Independent Journal reported on the many ways various organizations across the county are addressing the needs of seniors.  The article featured Aging Action Initiative as one of the many policies and actions being taken to empower seniors. To read the full article, click here.

“There is a lot of positive forward motion on these issues in Marin for seniors to live well and live better”
