February 7, 2017 | The Steering Committee of Marin’s Aging Action Initiative (AAI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Linda Jackson as Program Director.

Jackson will help lead our collaborative of more than 65 agencies and organizations into our next phase of development for this important county-wide effort.

Joe O’Hehir, AAI Steering Committee Chair

Linda Jackson is one Marin’s most experienced and dynamic advocates for sustainable and livable communities, with more than 35 years of experience in civic leadership and project management. Jackson previously worked as a city planner in San Rafael and transportation planner with the Transportation Authority of Marin. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, with a specialization in transportation. She also is a trustee of the San Rafael Board of Education and serves on several boards in Marin. Jackson worked with the Peace Corps in Ecuador for two years, and is a graduate of Wellesley College.

I am thrilled with the opportunity to help the Aging Action Initiative with its collaboration and leadership on the issues affecting Marin’s older residents. The Aging Action Initiative is a leader in Marin in assisting our member agencies to work more effectively together to make a difference in people’s lives. I’m excited to be part of this effort.

Linda Jackson, AAI Program Director

Jackson will be working with MARINSPACE as part of AAI’s team. MARINSPACE provided strategic planning and project management services for the first few phases of the initiative. Alongside Jackson as Program Director, MARINSPACE will continue to provide strategic direction, communications, and administrative services. The expanded backbone team links the AAI network together enabling network members to function more effectively and efficiently.
